Must be concurrently enrolled in a degree-seeking program with an accredited university or enrolled in an upcoming program in the fall.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

This position has responsibility and authority for:

• Under the direction of the mentor
• Develop the state-of-the-art algorithms in computational graphics and medical imaging.
• Develop real-time renderings for information visualization and enhanced user experience.
• Analyze data and report accuracy, precision and sensitivity of algorithms to uncertainties.
• Evaluate system performance in operating room conditions.
• Prepare documentation and user manuals for the system.

Competency Requirements: 

Competency is based on: education, training, skills and experience. In order to adequately perform the responsibilities of this position the individual must:

• Ph.D. student (computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent) preferred
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming is required.
• Excellent background in software design and data structures is required.
• Knowledge of GPU programming techniques and APIs such as Cuda or OpenCL is desired
• Knowledge of scripting languages like python and MATLAB is a plus.
• Experience with augmented reality and machine vision is a plus.
• Familiarity with embedded system software design is a plus.
• Must have excellent communication and writing skills.
• Relevant peer-reviewed publications is a plus.

Commitment: Must be available to work full-time hours, M-F for 10-12 weeks beginning May or June.
