Primary Function of Position:

Lead the Program / Project Delivery of key initiatives within the Supply Chain Organization at Intuitive Surgical. Responsibilities include engaging with key stakeholders to capture program/project requirements, enable process mapping, working with cross functional stakeholders and IT for solution design, development, User Acceptance Testing and deployment of projects. Responsibilities include leading delivery of supply chain related projects around supply chain risk management, data and analytics, capacity management etc. Program Manager may also own the operating process for some of these projects such as Capacity Management. He/ She will be responsible for running a periodic review of these areas, starting with data collection/analysis, identifying and driving mitigation actions across the cross functional partners.

Roles and Responsibilities:

This person has responsibilities for:

• Working with cross functional team members to understand and automate the supply chain risk management process
• Interact with Suppliers to gather risk-related information via appropriate systems/tools
• Works with cross functional stakeholders and IT to enable risk data collection and deployment of Supply Chain Risk related dashboards
• Works with selected Planning, Purchasing, Commodity leads and other Supply Chain team members to identify and deliver projects that improve functional efficiency
• Lead development & deployment of projects related to Data and Analytics
• Be the lead point of contact in terms of engaging with IT team
• Manage program schedule/risks and communicate updates to management/executives and provide PM updates to the broader team on status of multiple projects
• Lead deployment of a Supplier Capacity Analysis Framework by engaging with appropriate stakeholders such as Commodity Managers, IT and business/data analysts.


• Work experience: 10+ years in Manufacturing/Supply Chain organization with experience in multiple supply chain areas such as demand/supply planning, procurement, risk/ capacity management
• Program Management experience leading medium/large scale projects from concept to deployment
• Project lifecycle management experience in waterfall and/or agile methodologies
• Exposure to Supply Chain Risk Management and/or Capacity Management areas strongly desired
• Undergraduate or Master’s degree in technical or Supply chain discipline

Skill/Job Requirements:

Competency Requirements: In order to adequately perform the responsibilities of this position the individual must possess or demonstrate: 

• Strong experience in Supply Chain areas such as planning, procurement, order fulfillment, supply chain finance etc.
• Supply Chain Risk Management experience Strong Plus
• Solid understanding & experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Agile PLM
• Domain understanding of Supply Chain - Item Master, ASL, Purchase Orders, Supplier Spend, Standard Cost etc
• Self-motivated and resourceful ; Ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast paced environment;
• Understands process flows and can think critically to develop options and recommendations
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
• Natural ability to build strong relationships
• Significant computer experience including Excel, MS project, etc

Commitment: Must be available to work full-time hours, M-F beginning as early as January 30th.
