Primary Function of Position:
The Sales Strategy Analyst works closely with our Key Account commercial leadership team analyzing complex business problems and providing strategic, data-driven guidance to decision makers. This position is heavily involved in the development of analytics and plans used by our Key Accounts sales teams in interactions with customers. Additionally, the analyst will provide data-driven recommendations to support internal strategic planning, commercial strategy, territory design, and quotas. This is a highly analytical role involving the manipulation of large data sets, a keen understanding of sales concepts, and the ability to communicate and develop meaningful work relationships with multiple executive business partners.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide commercial insights to executive leadership.• Serve as the primary business intelligence analyst/consultant for the US Key Account Executive Team.• Identify and interprets trends and patterns in procedure, revenue, and sales datasets to locate opportunities for accelerating da Vinci adoption.• Develop, articulate, and defend analytical positions.• Develop tools and dashboards that highlight opportunity and enable our sales team to more effectively sell da Vinci technology.• Participate with cross functional-teams to investigate and resolve operational issues.• Provide early insights regarding market trends and the resultant strategic/business model impact.• Utilize SQL and Tableau to query SFDC and Finance databases.• Partner with Executive commercial leadership to develop board-level presentation materials.• Use analytical skills to verify or dispel anecdotal insights.
Skill / Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree (Masters degree preferred)• Three years of relevant work experience (5 years preferred)• Critical thinking• Intellectual curiosity• Strong analytical skills• Ability to work independently• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to include the ability to interact with executive leadership• Attention to detail and accuracy• Ability to support and prioritize multiple projects concurrently• Desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced organization• Ability to consistently discern strategic insights from data analysis• Advanced Excel skills (SQL or other database and Tableau skills preferred)• Working knowledge of SQL and Tableau preferred• Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g. NetSuite, Sales Force) and Hyperion preferred
