Description

Primary Function of Position: 
 
The Manager, Customer Training, EU Direct will report to the Director, Customer Training – EU Direct. As a member of the Customer Training Team, this individual will be responsible for leading and supporting training center operations in our direct markets. The Manager will be focused on developing the customer training team in the region, optimizing the utilization of our training centers in market and creating/managing innovative technical and Surgeon Led training programs.
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Build and support training programs at designated training centers to further surgeons’ and OR staffs’ development of da Vinci system technology skills
  • Collaborate with surgeons in market to create clinical education programs specific to the region’s needs
  • Identify, validate & train surgeon leaders in order to deliver robotic training
  • Develop and follow-up Intuitive proctors on quality of the trainings: Create opportunities for improvements, provide feedbacks after the courses, create customer satisfaction surveys, etc.
  • Be the main link between the  Director, Customer Training EU Direct d the regional Sales & Marketing team
  • Develop training programs for fellows, residents and hospital staff at designated training centers
  • Manage the planning and execution of da Vinci training at non Intuitive training sites in order to develop KOLs training initiatives
  • Measuring training effectiveness and implementing enhancements as necessary
  • Manage the hiring process to onboard new training team members as needed
  • Develop sustained competency within the Customer Trainers in the following areas:
    • da Vinci System Technology
    • da Vinci System applications
    • OR Efficiency
    • Training Pathway process
    • Training/coaching techniques/methodologies
  • Manage & optimize Trainer’s weekly schedules  in order to fit the specificities of the markets and the training programs available
  • Assess customer trainer performance on an ongoing basis to ensure training excellence and accountability
  • Identify, implement and manage training center logistics, inventory, calendars and quarterly goals in association with our distributors.
  • Establish new training centers as needed to support  the Regions’ needs
  • Create and deliver quarterly training center business reviews
Qualifications

Competency Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Training / Professional Education experience
  • B.A. / B.S. degree required or equivalent clinical/medical degree
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective collaborations with customers
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor and develop members of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to create and manage training projects and initiatives with measurable outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross departmentally as well as with external parties to achieve training goals
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical disease states, surgical applications and operating room environment
  • Experience with project management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and local language  –
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel extensively up to 75% and work around flexible schedule
