Primary Function of Position:

The Marketing manager will complete the analysis, planning, go-to-market plans, and achievement of goals for the da Vinci Systems. This person will work with Joe Fridlin and other Marketing Managers to identify unmet customer needs and design new or incremental improvements to Intuitive’s da Vinci Systems. They will execute upstream and downstream marketing tactics development and launch of da Vinci Systems. This uniquely positioned role has the opportunity to work closely with the sales organization and R&D teams to capture user needs to help define the long-term product roadmap.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Execute on analysis to drive marketing direction of a product, service and/or procedure, possibly including, but not limited to: positioning, messaging, segmentation, pricing, reviewing market share, conducting market research and developing product requirements.
• Develop business cases and secure support and funding for maximizing utilization of da Vinci Systems.
• Deeply understand and communicate the value of Intuitive’s da Vince 4th Generation Systems to key customers and constituencies such as physicians, hospital executives, robotic coordinators, customer engagement teams, and the sales force.
• Support existing da Vinci Systems as an internal subject matter expert handling customer concerns escalated by sales, marketing and customer service to mitigate customer dissatisfaction and improve the customer experience.
• Represent the voice of the customer during product, service and/or procedure development stages.
• Develop and execute worldwide launch plans working with customer service, regional marketing and sales teams.
• Provide on-going support of da Vinci Systems already in use in the field identifying training, promotional, and other downstream opportunities to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and utilization.
Qualifications

Skill/Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• MBA strongly preferred.
• 5 or more years professional experience in sales, marketing, engineering, customer service or equivalent role
• Demonstrated interest in healthcare, hospital operations and medical devices
• Good written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, professional manner
• Presentation skills to internal & external audiences including leaders at the VP level
• Self-directed with awareness to proactively seek advice when needed
• Proven ability to investigate open-ended problems and work cross-functionally to implement initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to work creatively amidst competing priorities
• Ability to prioritize and smoothly manage multiple competing deadlines and tasks.
• Strong knowledge of the MS Office product suite
• Ability to travel 50 %
