Primary function of position:

The Sr. Director Business Operations Systems will be responsible for leading a team focused on the process architecture, business analysis, business requirements mapping, project management, and change management of our product lifecycle management (PLM), product information management (PIM, data hubs, MDM), and content management systems. 

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with executive stakeholders throughout the organization and will have in-depth experience in business change initiatives. This individual will be able to understand the current complexities of the organization’s PLM/PIM processes and how those processes flow through current technology and then built future-state business process models to best realize the organization’s growth strategy. This is a business leadership role and not a solution (IT) role.

Job Description:

• Work with all business technology stakeholders—both leadership and subject matter experts—to build a holistic, technology agnostic view of the organization's PLM / PIM strategy and business processes.
• Closely partner with IT to make sure that business and IT strategies remain in constant alignment.
• Lead team in the creation of business process blueprints for how our processes flow into and out of our technology solutions for product lifecycle management, product information management, and content systems
• Lead a team of process architects, project managers, business analysts, change management experts, and user requirements writers.
• Responsible to develop deliverables that are valuable to the business, including business capability mapping, 3-year change roadmaps, business requirements documents, and process change workflows.
• Develop a deep knowledge of business best practices around PLM / PIM / MDM processes.
• Responsible for delivering signature-ready, actionable recommendations to business and IT leaders.
• Responsible for partnering with solutions team (IT) to leverage technology to enable the organization's future-state business capabilities.
• Provide insights to and gain buy-in from key internal stakeholders including but not limited to Supply Chain, Master Data, Quality, Regulatory, Labeling, Marketing, and Product Development in the areas of PLM / PIM / MDM management.

Skill/Job Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable degree, or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 10 years of overall business experience required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience managing, building or leading teams required.
• Experience leading and implementing large scale programs required.
• Experience speaking to executives and leading business change required.
• Alignment with company mission values and culture required.
• Architecture, process improvement, and/or project management certifications preferred.
• Experience developing, managing, and improving business processes preferred.
• Experience working in or with medical device, pharmaceutical industry, or other government regulated industry preferred.
• Strong collaboration, communication, people leadership, and coaching skills preferred.
• Strong oral/written communication skills and presentation skills preferred.
• Strong influencing, relationship, and change management skills preferred.
